My name is Chris Peterson. I work at MIT as an admissions officer [1], teaching assistant [2], and researcher [3].

Basically, I help smart people solve hard problems. Many of these problems involve digital technology and strategy, broadly defined. Sometimes I give talks, consult with various institutions, write papers or posts, and so on. I’m privileged to have an excellent platform and I try to use it for good.

I’m also on the board of the National Coalition Against Censorship [4], a Fellow at the National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution [5], and a former research assistant at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School [6]. In these capacities I spend a lot of time reading and writing and thinking about the Internet and how it impacts the way we all communicate and experience our lives (more variations on the theme).

I spend a lot of time geeking out about various things, eating hamburgers [7], and trying to escape Boston for the New Hampshire woods whence I came. I’m allergic to cats and cat macros. I like honest people, Archer, and bouldering.
